With the fixture of such a great match in the semi finals of the world cup, a Netherlands vs Uruguay Match Preview is indispensable. The match is to be held on the 6th of July at the new Green Point Stadium in Cape Town. Though it’s not really a match that anybody expected, it surely is just as high profiled as any other match would have been.

http://www1.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Scotland+v+Netherlands+FIFA2010+World+Cup+0zhrfhb5Nxfm.jpgBoth the teams have shown quite a performance in the world cup so far. The Netherlands is on a roll following their last performance against the Brazilians; even after trailing by a goal they fought back in the second half to clinch a 2-1 victory against the Samba Boys. The accomplishment has boosted the team’s confidence considerably as Robben puts it “We’re in the last four and we know we’re capable of reaching the Final”. But all this confidence has not made them reckless, as their coach Bert Van Marwijk is very wary of their next match and says “We’ve already seen a lot of Uruguay, It will be a very dangerous match”.

http://www2.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Uruguay+v+Costa+Rica+2010+FIFA+World+Cup+Qualifiers+xAuIIMJcekzl.jpgThe Netherlands v/s Uruguay Match Preview will elaborate about the mindset of the Uruguayan team for their challenging match against the ‘Oranje’ team as well. Uruguay entered the semis by defeating the last African contender Ghana. The match against the black stars was a very close one going into extra-time and then ended in penalty shoot outs. In the process Luis Suarez’s hand-ball proved oddly decisive for the Ghanaians, he received a red card and will not be able to play in his next match against the Dutch. La Celeste team is fighting hard to revive their glory years which are but a fading memory for the world, the last time the men in blue managed to clear the round of sixteen was in 1970 in Mexico.

The Dutch have faced tougher challenges in the world cup till now; Uruguay on the other hand has yet to face the toughest teams of the world cup, having faced a challenge only in the form of Korea and Ghana since group stages.
Expected outcome:
The Dutch team is considered to be a stronger team with veterans such as Arjen Robben on their side. Uruguay has only just managed to win in their last 2 matches and now that Suarez is out for this match it would be quite a challenge for the last South American team to move into the final says our Netherlands vs Uruguay Match Preview

Semi-finals Germany vs Spain 2010 world cup

A match of such stature deserves a good Preview therefore this Germany vs Spain Match Preview will provide a comprehensive analysis. It’s not every day that teams of such excellence clash and that too on such a Grande stage, but when days like this come it is no surprise that the world stops and watches. This celebrated all European semi final match is to be held on the 7th of July in Durban.

http://www3.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Nigeria+v+Germany+FIFA+U17+World+Cup+UgeEa1hClfbl.jpgMuch to the delight of their fans it must be admitted that the German team has become somewhat of a Juggernaut in this World cup. They have displayed extraordinary performances against teams like England and Argentina thrashing both of them 4-1 and 4-0 respectively. None of the teams in South Africa so far have stood as challenge for Germany and it would come as no surprise to anyone if they won the cup this time, a feat which they have accomplished 3 times before as well. Their attitude is well represented by the words of Bastian Schweinsteiger, German midfielder “This is a very good team. We may well play Spain next.
Obviously we respect them, but we have the potential to go far and we want more.”

http://www3.pictures.gi.zimbio.com/Spain+v+Armenia+FIFA+2010+World+Cup+Qualifier+eX4C4CpmV_tl.jpgOur Germany v/s Spain Match Preview shows that Spain’s performance has been subpar for the last few matches. Though the La Roja team recovered after an insulting loss against the Swiss, they have failed to achieve decisive victories even against the weaker opponents. This belief is shared by their coach Vicente Del Bosque probably the only Spanish who did not have a smile on his face after the Spanish victory against Paraguay on Saturday. He said “We didn’t play well and we never looked comfortable” and added “We are not scared of Germany but I think they are playing better than anyone right now”.

Even though the Spanish team is star studded, when talents such as Fernando Torres underperform consistently, the chances for a victory by the Spanish Armada seem low. Though David Villa has held the Baton for the Spanish in the world cup so far, Bosque needs a few more of his star players to start scoring some goals.

http://farm1.static.flickr.com/77/169040082_8c222ddb1b.jpgUruguay vs Ghana Match Preview will clear the air for those who are all worked up for this match. This match is to be held on 2nd of July in Johannesburg at the swanky Soccer City Stadium. Being the first match to be decided for the quarter finals, the Uruguay v/s Ghana match has everyone talking as to what is in store for them in this next phase of the world cup.

Ghana defeated USA’s team in the round of sixteen with a 2-1 score line, thanks to the 93rd minute goal by Asamoah Gyan which helped the black stars dream alive. At first it seemed that this nail biter match could go either way but Ghana showed true spirit to overpower their opponents and win. “We have made everybody proud, not Ghana alone, but the whole of Africa” is what the elated Gyan had to say about their win and not without reason since Ghana is the solitary survivor of the African contingent which participated but failed to show great results. The match against the 16th ranked Uruguay team would not be an easy game to win for the Black Stars who hold the 32nd position but this does not stop Samuel Inkoom, Ghana midfielder from being confident “I don’t think Uruguay will be easy but I think we are capable of winning”.

http://i.a.cnn.net/si/2005/soccer/10/11/uruguay.argentina/p1_uruguay_1011.jpgA Uruguay vs Ghana Match Preview is the best method to comprehend the underlying factors which can affect this match. The Uruguay team for one has a relatively young side but highly talented none the less. La Celeste team is sprinkled with a great number of players who play for European clubs and the team is bolstered by their strong coach Oscar Washington Tabarez. El Maestro, as he is known in his homeland has done quite a job on his team having led Uruguay to the world cup second time consecutively. The Uruguayans entered the quarter finals by squashing the hopes of the South Korean team who played a grilling match but lost 2-1 to the two time world champions. “It was a very hard-fought victory that took a lot out of us” is how Tabarez described the clash between the nations.

Expected outcome:
Ghana team has shown great determination in South Africa so far but the South Americans look more poised for a good game having topped their group in the initial stages of the world cup as well.

This is what the Uruguay vs Ghana Match Preview says for this upcoming match in Johannesburg.

http://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images_root/slides/photos/000/275/450/102402374_display_image.jpg?1277703374Netherlands vs Brazil Match Preview is done to get the most out of this upcoming match on the 2nd of June at Port Elizabeth. Now that the world cup has reached the quarter final stage the competition can only get tougher and out of these many great teams only a few shall have the rite of passage to the semis.

The Dutch team which is being seen in the world cup for the 8th time since 1930 has reached the finals twice but unfortunately, failed to win the cup both times. And this time again the ‘Oranje’ have displayed great resilience in their play so far, they topped their group and then went on to challenge Slovakia in the round of 16 at Durban. In Durban, the Dutch defeated the Slovaks by 2 goals to 1 thanks to return of their star player Arjen Robben. Bert van Marwijk, Netherlands coach was delighted with Robben’s return to the team “It’s obviously fantastic to have Robben come back after injury and show that he’s already fit enough to be scoring that kind of goal”. Netherlands v/s Brazil Match Preview will shows that for their next match against Brazil the Dutch need to perform better than ever before.

http://www.football-wallpapers.com/wallpapers3/netherlands_3_1024x768.jpgAnd not without reason did Marwijk say “Against Brazil, perhaps we might be the underdogs for the first time in South Africa”. The Brazilians have featured in all 19 world cups to date and are the only team to have won the coveted showpiece a record 5 times. The Brazilian lineup is studded with star players like Kaka and Fabiano who have been in the best of forms this world cup. None the less the match against the Dutch is the toughest they have yet to face and coach Dunga knows this, he said “We know the Netherlands are a very difficult team to beat and they are very able technically, we’ve got another decisive match ahead”
Expected Outcome:
Even though the Netherlands has played amazing football, they have yet to face a real challenge. And given Brazil’s great legacy we would expect Brazil to do the same this time as well and give us a great match.

But unlike before elimination of even a good team at this stage would not mean that the competition may become dull on the contrary the excitement will only intensify, this can be seen by our Netherlands vs Brazil Match Preview.

Brazil So Far in the FIFA World Cup
http://www.sportsmedianetwork.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/Brazil-Sportsmedia.jpgIt was a bit of a nervous looking Brazil that took the field for their opening game against little fancied North Korea, who ended up matching them for most of the ninety minutes. And in fact it was nearly an hour into the match before Brazil broke the deadlock with a goal from Maicon. Elano added a second shortly afterwards but North Korea still had some fight left in them as shown by Ji Yun Nam pulling one back with a minute to go.

The second match showed the Brazil fans were more familiar with, full of skill and passion and cruising to a 3-0 lead over Côte d’Ivoire with a brace from the talented Luis Fabiano and a third from Elano. Didier Drogba grabbed a consolation goal for the Ivory Coast but it was too little too late. Brazil had two wins in a row and a guaranteed place in the Round of 16.
What a shame therefore that Brazil’s final match against Portugal was such a disappointment with yellow cards and unsporting behaviour dominating over ability. The 0-0 scoreline reflected a dire match.

Chile So Far in the FIFA World Cup
http://static.foxsports.com/content/fsc/img/2010/06/16/061610-Soccer-Spicy-Chile-SW-PI_20100616093439_660_320.JPGChile did not exactly come out of the traps running as they only managed a 1-0 win in their opening game against the group’s weakest team Honduras, Jean Beausejour scoring the only goal after half an hour’s play. But despite the low score, Chile were already showing some of the class that was set to take them though to the last 16.
Switzerland were always going to be a tougher task, especially after they’d beaten Spain in their opening game. The Swiss adopted spoiler tactics and looked like it was going to work until substitute Mark Gonzalez gave Chile the win with the only goal of the match with just fifteen minutes to go.

Chile started off their last match against Spain by dominating the opening twenty minutes but then a rash decision by goalkeeper Claudio Bravo to come out his area to make an unnecessary clearance ended up with Spain’s David Villa guiding a long range shot into an empty net. Spain’s Andres Iniesta added another before half time but worse for Chile was that the move earned Marco Estrada a second yellow and reducing them to ten men for the rest of the game. Estrada will now miss the Brazil match as will Waldo Ponce and Gary Medel, also suspended after picking up a yellow in the Spain game. Chile did pull one back just after half time through Rodrigo Millar but the news filtered through from the other game and both teams realised that 2-1 to Spain would see both through and thus Chile left Spain alone to pass the ball around in their own half for most of the final half hour.

Football Betting Odds For Brazil vs Chile

Football betting tips: Early odds put Brazil clear favourites with 1/2 or 4/9 on offer for a win on ninety minutes with Chile outsiders at 5/1 or 11/2. The draw is not really fancied either with 11/4 or 3/1 available.

Germany vs England football world cup

FIFA World Cup 2010
Venue: Mangaung/Bloemfontein
http://www.new-york-un.diplo.de/Vertretung/newyorkvn/Bilder/Ballack2,property=Inhaltsbild.jpgOut of the many matches in the World Cup, few will hold such emotional significance as the Germany v/s England match preview is speaking of. Set to go on the 27th of June at Bloemfontein, this match speaks volumes of the hopes and aspirations of Europe’s Football fans. So far, as per performance shows, European Football has been less than impressive except Portugal and Spain showing grand performance.

While Germany seems somehow not up to their usual rank; a shaky England side with out-of-form star Wane Rooney had finally gotten back team unity and performance in their last Stage 1 match against Slovenia. Now, Germany has found back their classic strategy and fast ball exchange gameplay, while England seems to be recovering from frayed management and fallen team spirit.

With the Knockouts ready to happen, all teams know that the situation is critically boiling with excitement. Stage 2 doesn’t leave scopes for draws or retakes; each match is decisive for progress into the Quarter Finals. Germany is looking forward to ensure rigid and hard gameplay and give the English competition well deserved. On the English squad, with emotions high as the team is uniting again to reach Victory, the British seem to be getting back to their class act.

http://www3.pictures.gi.zimbio.com/England+v+Andorra+FIFA2010+World+Cup+Qualifier+2AhX0pUDs82l.jpgFrom strategic gameplay to fast and aggressive ball battle; the English team seems to be prepared for any surprises from the German rivals. Knowing the football fever and the history between these two countries both in and out of the field; the Germany vs. England Match preview seems to be holding all the surprise back till the end of 90 minutes of serious Football action coming to conclusion.

Speculations do speak of the English team not really being prepared enough to face the promising German onslaught, but such speculations fall short in the Football field. Upsets are common and astonishing performances even more familiar in the Sport the world swoons for most. After all, this sporting event is the most popular and keenly hypnotizing event the world sees every 4 years. Champions are made on the grass as Countries compete for the Final glory.

With such a fervent build up of adrenaline and emotions; this match has mixed speculations from either supports. Looking closely at what has happened so far may really bear no mark on what may be to come. The Germany v/s England Match preview can only be described as an unpredictable event prepared to take stage on Sunday.
